Our art deco building was build by architect Albert Callewaert. As we paid great attention to keeping the heritage of the building and not touching at the wonderful art deco elements out-and inside the house we still faced a huge renovation to make the house ready for an up to date comfort level.
We were also convinced that the renovation needed to use the most recent ecological knowledge. The challenge was to create a sustainable development in terms of heating, water, air, noise and mobility issues. We are proud and happy to announce that we received the price of ‘bâtiment exemplaire’ from the Brussels region in 2009 because of our quality of renovation combined with the most ecological possible renovation and this in a preserved monument.
